Series in Progress:

Scrying Objects

Incense smoke curls around a softly glowing orb, shadows shift in the dark mirror, an image blooms within the heart of a flame; But what does it all mean? Scrying is no mere trope of your fantasy tales. In my realm, it is a fundamental syntax, a way of accessing being. It is the art of seeing what is, and sometimes what is not yet here

Witch Ladders

The witch ladder — a delightfully clever convention of your realm. This strand of folk magic, gathered from the hedgerows and hearths of Britain’s pagan traditions, is spun from the very principle of sympathetic magic. One does not simply tie a knot; one binds a wish. Each twist of the cord, each feather, stone, or token woven into its length, is a syllable in a silent incantation…

Herms

A herm, the weathered sentinel from antiquity, is a rectangular stone pillar, often rough-hewn, featuring a carved portrait and explicit genitalia as its only rendered details. These objects were not mere decoration; they served as practical road markers, boundary stones, and guardians of thresholds in Ancient Greece and Rome. Their power lies in this duality: They are at once functional, bodily, and profoundly symbolic…

Pottery

Allow me to confess: Even the most esoteric realms are built upon a foundation of sublime  craftsmanship. Before a thing can be enchanted, it must first be exquisitely made. This is the heart of my decorative pottery practice…
